MONSTALINER from Magnet Paints is a unique do-it-yourself bed liner coating designed for easy roller installation and requires no special skills or equipment to achieve truly professional results.

Developed for jeep and pickup truck owners seeking a high performance alternative to expensive spray installed bed liners, Monstaliner is 100% UV Permanent and guaranteed not to chalk, fade or discolor for a minimum of 5 years. Once installed, Monstaliner requires no maintenance and continues looking great with no need for any topcoats, sealants or surface protectants.

Monstaliner is supplied in complete do-it-yourself kits which include the coating and catalyst plus surface preparation, tape and roller installation tools. Coating and catalyst are also sold alone for spray installation using a standard schutz undercoating gun.

For Full Exteriors: Most mid size vehicles, SUVs and pickup trucks will require 2 gallons without the interior of the bed. Oversize vehicles will require 3 to 4 gals or more.

Jeep exteriors require 1.5 to 2 gals depending on the model.

For Jeep Tubs: 2 door = 1 gal, 4 door = 1 gallon + 1 extra quart.

Pickup Beds: 5.5 to 6 ft = 1 gallon, + 1 extra quart if coating over the rails. 8 ft bed = 1.5 to 2 gals.

Call or email for help figuring requirements on other vehicles. Measure for total square footage to calculate more accurate estimates. As a rule, Monstaliner square foot coverage is calculated at: 60 sq ft per gal in 2 coats, 15 sq ft per quart in 2 coats.

Other supplies needed: MEK solvent, MEK Substitute or Acetone, garden hose, dishwashing soap, power drill, clean rags, shop vac, newspaper, scrap cardboard, protective eye wear, respirator mask (if working indoors) Optional supplies: pressure washer, broom, knee pads, wire brush, grinder, plastic drop cloths, 120 grit sandpaper, 50-60 grit sandpaper if removing heavy rust, extra tape, DA sander, primer for clean, bare metal surfaces. Note: Tintable Gallons require a larger mixing pail (5 quart or 2 gal plastic pail)

Surface prep will be dictated by the type and condition of your surface.

NO.. Never install Monstaliner over existing rust without proper rust treatment or complete rust removal to bare metal followed by the correct primer. Never use self etch primers, lacquer primers or any unapproved rattle can primers under Monstaliner.

• Never install ML directly over bare steel or aluminum without proper surface prep and the correct primer. Use Magnapoxy 2K Epoxy primer for best adhesion and corrosion resistance.

• Never coat directly over rattle can paint or old coatings in poor condition. Cracking or peeling paint or degrading clear coats must be addressed correctly to avoid future problems. If you know for sure or suspect that there may be rattle can paint on surfaces from a previous owner, STOP, ask questions, test the surface to be sure of what you are dealing with. Contact our customer support department for help regarding surface testing.

NO... Adhesion promoter is required on all plastics. Bulldog, Duplicolor and 3M all make adhesion promoters that can be purchased online or at automotive paint and parts stores.

Unfortunately we do not offer color matching in Monstaliner. You can purchase automotive tints at any local automotive paint store. We recommend PPG Shopline tints for best compatibility. The rule is that you must buy straight auto paint "Toners" without any binders, reducers or balancers added. Minimum of 1 year in unopened cans and stored at room temperature. Never store Monstaliner in a hot garage or outdoors.
